I'll cut off my dick for the ability to use a regulated site. (Shit post FYI)

*Its been a few months.. and it's about that time that I make a shit post where I bitch about everything*

To all my fellow US players getting fucked in the ass per usual... WHAT THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO DO TO USE A HONEST POKER SITE!?

It's 2021 and it has been almost a decade since I have been able to use a worthy-poker-site such as Full Tilt, Stars, 888, Party Poker, and so on. I am starting to fall out of love with poker because I can't keep playing on these bullshit sites located in Panama and throughout the Caribbean. Here are a couple of my experiences from the past 8-ish months or so.

ACWPN/BCP:
- 2 to 4 months ago I received 2 PARTIAL refunds due to bots being at my table, in which one scenario was a final table. Didn't even get a full fucking refund. This also doesn't mention the other partial refunds I received earlier in 2020.
- As you all well know, ACR has had multiple scandals going back to 2012, like the the 2018-2019 PLO/NL cash game bots and several people colluding together to take advantage of the late reg glitch. Nagy can eat a fat dick.
- If you play at America's Cardroom in 2021 you're a fucking retard. (No offence)

Betonline/BOL:
- 6 months ago Betonline removed $1000 from my poker balance on my account and said that the money was transferred to my sportsbook balance at 4am PST and all of it was spent in the online casino. When I asked them to investigate they did nothing. So I asked their Fraud/IT Department to send me a list of all devices, MAC addresses, and IP addresses that signed into my account that day... They refused to cooperate... Customer service said it was against company policy to release that type of information, even though its MY OWN fucking account and personal information. ( I took a break from the site but eventually returned because US players have no options and I love MTTs.)
- 2 months ago I deposited $50 of ETH to their sports book to bet on an NFL game. Blockchain.com confirmed that BOL's Etheruem address received my money, and I even sent customer service proof of the transaction THREE TIMES. They still refuse to issue me my $50 deposit to this day, stating "our system says the deposit is still pending".
- 2 days ago I received a $5 refund from a Windfall Sit n Go because the 2 other two players at my table were bots :) :) :) I should just kill myself at this point. WHO THE FUCK HAS BOTS AT THE JACK POT SIT N GO.

Bovada/Ignition:
- Honestly, I haven't used them in like a year or two because they removed the chat box, make it a pain to utilize HUD software, and that fucking update they did to their software. That huge software update was so fucking horrible the sites damn near unplayable. I'm sure you guys remember the old canvas/layout that Bovada/Iggy use to utilize, it was way better.

Anyways, I just don't know what to do anymore. I NEVER had any of these issues back in the Full Tilt days. I don't even want to play half the time because I'm sick of all the bullshit. I am also in Los Angeles, CA so the lockdown bullshit makes live poker a huge pain in the ass. Some casinos are open, some are closed, some are outside, some make you wear mask and sit in between plastic dividers, some allow you to order drinks but not food. It's all fucking stupid. I really want to use my VPN but I don't want to build up a bankroll on a legit site like PartyPoker and then have my funds frozen. Maybe I should just hang myself instead. (joking, just being a dramatic pussy)

On a serious note, thank you for listening to me bitch and moan about my first world problems. I hope ya'll are happy, healthy and staying covid-free. Cheers to 2021, MAY THE POKER GODS BE IN YOUR FAVOR!

Any feedback on Americas Cardroom?

Can’t remember where, but earlier I saw a screenshot of someone playing poker on “AmericasCardroom.” I’ve never heard of it before, is it legit? I see they also offer a sportsbook as well.
(I use Bovada for all my wagering and poker as I live in a state that has not legalized gambling yet.)
Since I’m here..anyone in non-legal gambling State dude anything besides Bovada? Bet365? TIA

I messed up badly, but it will probably save me thousands in the long run.

This is a REALLY bad flaw in Bovada's system that needs to be known.

So i got donked on all week long in the most ridiculous of fashions on Bovada. River 2 outers literally a dozen times a day. AK 4 bets getting shoved on and beaten by jack 10os in cash games. Hands never holding, Huge raises always getting shoved on, Always ahead, and losing by the river. etc. etc. etc. etc. ACR for me will never happen again after they crashed when i was top 20 with 4k up top only to refund my buy in. Betonline is full of Hud using Sharks so i wont ever use that one again. Bovada was the last bastion for me until the US regulates actual legit poker sites.
So in a rage i chat with Bovada Support to permanently close my account. Unfortunately for me i was at a table with my last $100, and the support person instantly shuts off my account without asking any further questions.
45 minutes of rage filled chat texts later she says "i'm sorry, but there's nothing i can do in this situation of error" She shuts down the chat, and now i'm also blocked from their chat server. ........
I mean, i know it's for the best, and i very likely would have donked that last $100 away anyway ,and now i'll never have to play online again, but what a FLAW. i mean seriously?
I'm an idiot clearly, but don't do what i did, because whatever money you have at a table, and probably the account too will be gone forever, and Bovada support will block and ignore you from contacting them. :( I feel for the guy or gal out there that has lost Thousands simply because they were trying to help themselves in a moment of thought, and Bovada straight up robbed them literally. What a ride man, but i know i'm done forever now. Don't let this be you.

Bovada Bonus Code for Reddit

I noticed a lot of ballers on here like to bet on sportsbooks
I use Bovada - been using it for a few months now - and my buddy just signed up and got access to a Bovada bonus code straight off the bat. This was a 100% deposit bonus of up to 1k. He was legit nervous about signing up to a poker site (didn’t wanna lose his money) so I sent him this code.
Here’s what he said about it:
“Bro, I finally got round to signing up to Bovada and used a welcome bonus code. It was a straight-up 100% deposit bonus that I got when I deposited $100. I went on to win $2,300 off it mofo!!!”
Pretty sure you can win as much as 3k too off this code and rollover requirement is 25x
Just use bonus code NEWWELCOME and you’re in
Peace out

My Bovada Review

Wassssssup Reddit. Not gonna lie - I’m feeling pretty good right now. I just had a big win at Bovada casino (not for the first time) and I’ve seen so many of you’s on here bemoaning Bovada, saying it’s not legit, it’s not this, it’s not that, it cheats blah blah blah.
I’ve gotta say - I’ve always had an ace time on Bovada. Sure, I’ve won some, lost some but that’s gambling - that’s the way it is, bro! Can’t win it all the time.
Anyways I decided now’s the time to write a Bovada review (because I’m sick of the one sided Bovada reviews out there) for y’all because I’ve never seen so many Bovada haters in my life. In the sake of fairness I’ll also touch on a few aspects I don’t like about it too.
Interface
Real clean. Easy to navigate.
Casino Games
Spoilt for choice. Whether you wanna get lit playing blackjack, roulette, craps or poker, Bovada’s got a lot of choice.
True, there’s not as many blackjack variations as there used to be but there’s still plenty to choose from, including Double Blackjack.
Plus, you’ve always got a chance of winning. I turned $25 into $1200 the other week, no fooling.
Slots
Solid chance of winning on the hundreds of slots available. Maybe it’s just me but they seem to tighten up a bit when you’re using a bonus but again that could be me
Is Bovada Safe?
Safe as houses.
It’s been around since 2011 and uses a secure SSL-encrypted connection to keep your details safe. In all my time I’ve been there I’ve never had a thing to worry about.
Bovada Payouts
Yeah, the payouts can be a bit slow but so can all gambling sites. Bitcoin is super fast so I recommend you use that but bank transfer takes a few days, maybe even a week IDK I don’t use it anymore.
Fees
This bit sucks. If you make a deposit using your credit or debit card, you’ll be charged a 5.9% fee. Again, I recommend you use Bitcoin as there are zero fees involved.
International currency conversions are a bummer so I’ve heard too.
Is Bovada legal in the U.S.?
Yeah
eSports?
You bet, dawg. Bovada got the likes of LoL, StarCraft and Dota 2. OK it’s not the hugest selection of eSports games going but it’s got all the biggest names.
Sportsbook?
Bovada is actually the biggest US online sportsbook. There’s a huge amount of markets including baseball, NBA, NFL, NHL, tennis, horse riding, soccer etc.
Honestly, it’s really cool and there are plenty of in-play options.

Is Bovada Legit?

Hey guys,
I know this has probably been asked a few times in the past on Reddit so please don’t flame me for asking it again. But is Bovada legit? Is Bovada safe? Is Bovada legal?? (ya I’m paranoid asf)
Reason I’m asking it again is because I know for a fact that gambling sites change their policies often and things change so don’t jump on a brother for being cautious.
Anyway, I’m a bit of a casual gambler. I don’t gamble loads of money but I enjoy a flutter and whenever I’ve played online poker and placed a few sports bets in the past I’ve actually done quite well. And right now, stuff has happened in my life and me and my girl could really do with some extra $$$ to see us through this rough patch (I got laid off last week and she’s pregnant with our third child, talk about perfect timing eh).
Anyway, reason I’m asking about Bovada being legit is primarily because I really cannot afford to get burned by a gambling site. I don’t want issues to pop up like my bank freeing my account or Bovada not realising my funds etc etc. Yes I’m paranoid but whatever. I want an updated answer to this question (February 2020).
Anyone help?

Bovada Bitcoin, Need Reddit’s Advice

Hey everyone, I’ve got a question about Bovada Bitcoin.
So, I have a bit of Bitcoin stashed away and wanna start using it to play some online poker. I know Bovada accept Bitcoin (though I’d also be interested to hear about other legit gambling sites that accept Bitcoin) but I want to know how fast their Bitcoin withdrawals are.
See, one of my biggest gripes with poker sites is that they take forever to process your withdrawal. This, of course, makes people (such as me) a bit nervous as we eventually cancel the frigging withdrawal and stake that cash on another game - and then lose the cash.
So basically, do Bitcoin withdrawals process faster than check ones? I don’t want to have to wait a month for everything to clear! I want quick, easy, hassle-free withdrawals that don’t leave me waiting and nervous.
Thanks for any help
PS Serious about asking for other poker Bitcoin sites.

To anyone using electrum wallet to withdraw bitcoin, read this.

This may be old news but I didn't see anything on poker about it, and sadly my dumb ass fell for it. Had a decent score last night on Bovada and withdrew to my electrum wallet running version 3.0.3 & ending up getting phished out of all of it.
https://old.reddit.com/CryptoCurrency/comments/a9yji3/electrum_wallet_hacked_200_btc_stolen_so_fa
If you have an old version of Electrum downloaded, you may get a very legit looking message when trying to send BTC telling you to upgrade to version 4.0.0
This version is not official and it sends you a link to download a legit looking, but very fraudulent Electrum client. If you do this and submit your wallet password you will lose all the btc in your wallet.
I strongly URGE everyone using Electrum to make sure you have the latest version off the official Electrum website and look into using a different wallet. Hope this can prevent people in this community from falling for the same scam.

Haven't really played/studied since 2014, any suggestions?

Just got back into online poker recently after about 5 years of minimal play. I used to read books and study like a madman. I'm doing okay at micro stakes now, but I want to take it to the next level. When I stopped twoplustwo was basically the holy grail. What has changed since then? Is rakeback still a thing? I notice there are a lot more resources available these days but I dont know whats legit and what is not. Is there anything more I need to know? Any new great books? Also wondering what sites are best for someone living outside of a legal state. Been playing on Bovada and BetOnline. Thanks in advance.

I think its time to give up live (mostly) for a while

Scroll to 4th paragraph if you would like to skip the fluff bullshit and answer the questions I have. This isn't a "Boo-hoo I'm running bad. What do I do?" post. I just think I need to reallocate my time because I know I suck and being the best player at a 1/3 table isn't exactly satisfying. 'Smartest kid with down syndrome' effect.
Background: I am a shitty live player. I live 5 minutes from a casino. I spend a ton of time there and virtually zero time studying. I play 1/3 with a shot take or two at 2/5. I know how to exploit the 1/3 donkeys for a marginal profit but I am pretty sure I might as well cut a hole in my pocket instead of trying to play 2/5 regularly. And we all know how good the average 2/5 player is. I have fun playing. I like the social aspect of it. I like having that $1k night every once in a while. But I like the competition the most. I have learned a lot over the last few months from just learning basic strategies and applying them in standard spots. It has become very stagnant though because now new concepts are more complex and I am being a lazy poker player.
I posted a while back about playing online to learn and got some good suggestions but I didn't really spend any time on online poker. I played a few cash games, played a couple ~$5 MTTs and haven't done much beyond that.
I think it is time to put live poker on hold other than like a once a week recreational thing and instead of going to the casino 4 days a week, use most of that time to play online and study. I am fooling myself if I think I have enough time to play at the casino, study, play online, work, have any other hobby (I play dota) and -What? I have a wife? Is that the strange woman I sleep next to at night?
The point and a bunch of questions
I'm going to start with ~$200 on bovada and just fucking grind and study and grind and study. Follow BRM, play 5nl, get a tracking program, and use a training site. I haven't decided which yet but I think I'll keep my Crushlivepoker account in addition to whatever I use for online play because poker strategy from the best is still poker strategy.
So, I am asking those of you that have made real legit progress as a poker player. I want answers from the low-stakes players, the mid-stakes+ players, the guys that made it as a live crusher.
How did you get to where you are? How did you start out? How much time did you put into studying at the beginning vs now? Do you think it was too much? Too little? Any non-standard tips and tricks you have that you think have helped you get to where you are? What types of goals do you/have you set for yourself and what goals do you think I should set for me, long and short term?
And out of curiosity, what has kept/still keeps you motivated to improve and continue playing?

New to this sub, can someone recommend an online poker gambling site that can be played from a smartphone on android for a US player?

Couldn't really find the specific answers I was looking for in the FAQ. I used to use Bovada for some time, and had my ups, and downs. I like to think of myself as an above average player, and have had success with profiting from other sites like fulltilt, and pokerstars before real money was banned for us players. I just can never seem to win on Bovada, and sometimes think with the anonymous tables, they are fixed. It could be just some really bad beats, but if anyone could give me credible information on that Bovada is legit, or recommend another app friendly poker site, I would really appreciate it!
