The lack of content in this game worries me. If we want this game to blow up a few big changes have to happen.

  1. Competitive mode must be added that severely punishes leavers. 30 minute base penalty that stacks up to 7 days if they continue to leave within a 5 day period. Every time I play this game without competitive is a day I go against unbalanced teams, normally with a toxic kid on the mic who afk/ leaves every single game he plays and j accepts the 5 minute ban he gets. This topic also addresses leavers and I think competitive mode will fix this a lot, as long as the penalty is higher than what it is rn. It literally makes sense to leave a game rn bc the penalty is shorter than the rest of the awfully unbalanced game would’ve been, not to mention the surrender button isn’t usable till way to long in the match. I know it’s “right around the corner” and we “can practically taste it” but I’ve slowly stopped playing this game over the past week because my hope that competitive mode will come soon is being torn apart by the glitches and lack of content.
  2. We should be able to pick which maps out of the rotation we want to play on. Every map in this game is beautiful and cool to look at but I swear to god some of them are just so unplayable. This would create community favorite maps that get played on more often yes, but I honestly think that’s a good thing as it’d lower load times and force players to learn maps better. I knew dust on Csgo the best for a reason and it was the ability to turn off the other maps.
  3. Bad glitches. I know this game is still early and was just released, but was it really time to make it f2p? There are countless game breaking glitches In this game. Almost every single character in the game has a glitch that commonly get you killed or can hurt you and your teams performance. Scorch becoming immune to bullets, ronins knife is missin, anvils shield is broken, lancers padded footsteps don’t work, and so many more. I’ve been playing a game with my friend when he’s thrown a ronin knife and it’s just “done nothing” and he dies because of it. Or myself playing anvil on the arena, pushing b I was running around the open area spamming my wall buttons with now wall coming out just a big fat anvil target practice. I’m also a big fan of the consistent glitch where it’ll try to load me into a game for a while, but then just stop, or sometimes just randomly take me out of the que. also sometimes the sound just stops in the game. Just doesn’t make sound during scenes.
4.Lack of progression. This has been worked on quite a bit, and is better, I’d say it takes a fair amount of time to unlock a new rogue. It takes 2 weeks for me which feels deserved, and now that I’ve been saving some up I’ll for the first time be able to get the new hero. We need a battle pass though. And not one that’s just full of bad banners and avatars we need skins we need currency we need loading screens. Give us something cool we haven’t seen in a game before! And don’t forget about mele skins!!
  1. The store is so whack in this game!!! It literally costs more to get a banner than a new rogue and that literally just hurts my head. Half the price of banners, stop refilling the store with returning skins, UPDATE THE STORE MORE FREQUENTLY, seriously rethink the price of some bundles, and don’t change skins after they’ve already been in the shop and people have purchased them. Most of the skins that you’ve put out have been cool, but there legitimately just haven’t been good skins out for some of my favorite rogues at least not in the past many weeks. Lancer, dima, glitch, all need some good skins. You just need to release more new skins it’s been 2 weeks in a row with no new good skins. Give me a lancer skin pls.
Screw the whole new player debate, I someone who purchased this game with money am starting to quit this game, and without any changes, It’s just like smite all over again and imma leave it.

Finally Quitting CSGO Today (10/13)

Today I wanted to officially announce that I’m going to be quitting CSGO (for a long while at least). I stumbled onto CSGO a year ago, and never thought I’d ever become addicted. I truly believe CSGO is the best FPS game rn just because this game absolutely has a skill curve unlike any other FPS games that I’ve played and exhibited to me how crucial communication and team work is (just my opinion).
BUT, my addiction has become so bad that I would neglect all the other things in my life including my family, my girlfriend, my health, and my career, and that’s when I knew I needed to quit.
Initially I thought: Yeah this game is cool, and I would just play casual games every other day. But slowly I would delve deeper into CSGO; understanding the mechanics of CSGO (crosshair placement and presuming ,counter strafing, movement, peeks, etc.) , watching pro teams play CSGO, learning all the smokes and nades, purchasing skins, etc.
I have racked up about 700+ hours while balancing school, coding, etc. I did play competitive too and was mostly solo queuing with Novas/MGs, but mostly was playing casual like 95% of the time because I was usually top fragging and it gave me such a huge dopamine hit. I was so addicted that I literally was playing 15-16 hours a day non-stop, without breaks. Some days I played for the entire day without eating anything, and I can just feel my heart and body breaking down and hurting. It was clearly an unhealthy addiction.
It also has to do with my personality. I truthfully do lack self discipline and become addicted easily, but this applies to good activities too such as working out and studying. So for me to stop CSGO, I had to lock away my keyboard, mouse, headset, etc, and had to block steam and other related sites.
To me, I felt like there was this constant loop of gratification in which I would thrive off people saying how nuts/good I was, especially in casual xD. And whenever I didn’t do so hot, I would just play lots of DM, work on my mechanics and play more for more gratification. And how quickly a new game starts in casual just resets a new cycle of more gratification.
My most recent and last problem I encountered was being introduced to the skins market. I was addicted to getting any cool skin that pros were using, as I naively thought it would boost my gameplay (so god damn stupid). I was addicted to AK and knife skins in particular, and basically dropped thousands of dollars on skins (incl. a gungnir…). It’s all with money I earned, but now I’m legitimately a broke college student.
Yes I’m not proud of it, but I’m currently looking at it as an investment and hopefully will sell some of the items and cash out in the near future. I’m hoping the new operation doesn’t screw me over though :/.
Ultimately, I try not to think of my time in CSGO as an entire waste of my time as I had a lot of fun and actually learned a lot of things. But, it would have been better transferring that time to use for myself to better my life, and better focus in school. I’m really happy to be quitting because now I feel a sense of freedom and recoupment to a better life.

My thoughts on the current state of the game(literally unplayable)I am genuinely disappointed at the current knives in the game. It's to the point where I want to refund my credits, I'm literally shaking and crying right now. The best knife in the game by far was the reaver knife but no they had to take it out, in probably the single worst decision in gaming history. I got my hopes up when I saw they were releasing a new set, I thought god wasn't dead, I thought Jesus had returned. But then I saw the knife. It's literally is a sword that takes up half of the screen and doesn't even look good. Just make the models hold the knives like in CSGO please Riot my desk can't take it anymore. This is by far the most pressing issue facing our society today. As a result of the trash knives I am losing bodily functions. I would be pissing my pants and crying right now if it were not for the fact I have not drank water since the game released(I have survived on gfuel packets and Gatorade for the past week). And can we talk about the price of the skins, you pay 35 dollars for those oversized axes. I've begun to see a therapist due to my newly found social anxiety, but of course the therapist was some cringe normie(doesn't like big chungus) said I was overreacting. Without my therapist my depression has spiraled out of control and I have lost all appetite every time my mom brings McDonalds up to my room I slam out of her hands in anger and sorrow, soon I'll run out of gfuel and likely starve(unless we restock on frozen chicken nuggies). At this point the tears have welled up so much I can't even read the digits of mommy's visa to add more valorant points.

I couldn't stop cheating in counter strike... (Confession/Story)

Also, in terms of my cheating story, I started cheating on my 3rd csgo account. My first account I was a silver who didn't know any better, i went on youtube and downloaded some free hack, ran the exe and was like "nah i dont want to" so i quit the game and went to bed, woke up with a vac ban. (lost 50$ in skins) - 2015
My next account i had for almost 2 years, I had a 100$ knife and 50$ worth of skins. It all changed when I was playing a kz map, and got frustrated I couldn't bhop, so I tried to find the ahk i used to use ("CantStopTheBhop" if you know what that is) it got taken off youtube though, so I tried finding a different one. Came across a video with one that seemed to be alright, it was called "Autohotkey.exe" with an ahk logo. I launched that, 5 minutes later got vac banned. Could not sleep that night. - 2017
So on my 3rd account, I made a nova csgo team. Added a guy named Honor to the roster, at one point I got suspicious how accurate his scout flick were and tried to screenshare him and see if he had any cheats, couldn't find any. But a few days later he sent me a free cheat called hooktronic, said it was undetected and its what he used. So my young impressionable mind thought i'd use this free cheat and never get banned...
Fast forward I got banned. banned... and banned again... and again... list goes on.
for a straight period through 2017-2018 i cheated constantly, everyday.

It wasn't up until mid 2018 where I was doing my typical thing of cheating and claiming i was legit and trying to prove it in whatever dumb way possible. One of my friends suggested I get esea to prove myself. This was the first time I had played legit in over a year.
I was terrible for the first week, and then I started improving, like actually improving at the game. Starting to predict where people were without the use of walls, my aim improving without the use of aimbot. Though that wouldn't last, because a few days before my esea sub ended my account got vacced.

This would start my next phase in csgo cheating, I cheated off and on through 2018-2019. Though this time, I wouldn't use aimbot.
I had a month of no cheating in december of 2018, completely stopped using aimbot at the end of 2018.
I also had an almost 3 month period of no cheating around february 2019 - may 2019
I had a 100$ inventory on this account (60$ knife) and I was looking for some money for a plane ticket, so a friend of mine offered me 200$ if I bought Lethiality and boosted him, and he would supply the account i'd boost him with. Towards the end of it, he decided he didnt want to be boosted anymore and didn't want to pay me, so I sold all my skins for the plane ticket, and used the remaining lethality sub I had (3 months) on my account and got banned. Went on a 1 month trip, and continued cheating when I got back for the remainder of the sub - August 2019

After my subscription ended, I was too broke to afford skins, so I bought lethality skin changer and went "legit" I bought 3 months of it, but only ended up using 2. (cause i got vacced 3 times)
I had a whole month of no cheating in october, up until november.
​
On November 11th, 2019, I bought Project Infinity for a month, not for any particular reason, just a relapse. It was also a bud of mines cheat of choice on his cheating account. (Im going to refer to this later)
And to my suprise, I got vac banned at the end of the subscription with less than a week remaining on December 6th, 2019.

This would be the last ban I would get while actively cheating, because it turns out pretty unfortunate for me regardless.

December 8th, 2019 I made a f2p account, which I used the last 3 days of my cheat subscription on.
The night of December 11th, My bud bought me prime on my account because he didn't want to play with me non prime. *(*Same friend from here: On November 11th, 2019, I bought Project Infinity for a month, not for any particular reason, just a relapse. It was also a bud of mines cheat of choice on his cheating account.)

This would result in me completely dropping cheating. A month later I bought a knife and skins, operation coin, ESEA, Got myself an inventory worth over 200$.
I was having the best time i'd ever had playing counter strike... I felt free from the cheats. Free from all the reckless spending on new accounts every week.

I even got the 2020 service medal... right before it happened.
​
March 11th 2020 was the day my account was hit with a vac ban for the short 3 day period I cheated during free to play.
I didn't know what to do, I was at first very confused, but I noticed my account I had used in November with project infinity, had been re-vac banned.
It instantly came back to me, and I found myself up until 11 am that next morning, could not sleep again. Exact same feelings arose from the first time I had lost my knife and skins.

After that my friend (Same friend from earlier^) gave me the login details to his cheating account (which he had used project infinity on up until this point) because he didn't use it much and wanted to play with me still on prime, though I was pretty set on just not playing cs anymore.
But I decided to use his account to play with him, but I wouldn't play on it much and only play on it with friends. That account was just recently vac banned on April 16th 2020.
Throughout my time playing counter strike, I have been vac banned 20+ times (I cant even count anymore) And even when I turn a new leaf, Something happens and turns me back to cheating. But not this time.

I have been the BEST I have ever been at the game now than ever. The last 5 months have made a tremendous difference.
So much so that me legit makes my friends think im cheating, and now that my account got banned with a knife, they think I'd be stupid enough to cheat with a knife.
​
All of this cheating, nobody trusts me anymore in regards to cs, not even my closest of friends.
Everytime I make a play, cheats.
Everytime I hit a small streak of hops, cheats.
Everytime I play the game, cheats.
​
But worst of all, nobody thinks I'm a good player, nobody thinks I have gamesense, nobody trusts my judgement,
Nobody believes in the progress i've made.

I could blame this on many factors, but if I would attribute it to one, it would be my 3rd account, I should have NEVER cheated.

DO NOT START CHEATING. IT IS AN ADDICTION.
It starts seemingly enjoyable and unimportant, but it quickly spirals into countless lost $$$. It kills me inside when someone I know starts cheating, regardless of how long i've known them for, its not a good hobby to get into.
The only thing I gained while cheating is knowledge about cheating in general, only semi-positive of cheating. You can develop this knowledge through others, playtime, smurfing, or just watching cheating videos can help alot. You do not need to cheat at all to gain such knowledge.

The current store prices sets a concerning precedent for the future

Valorant is a new game and many people have already voiced their opinion on whether or not $71 bundles or even individual items should be lowered or not.
Comparison to other games, especially with LoL
Coming from the background of both LoL and CSGO, there has been a huge improvement in terms of skins on release, and skins that have been released after all these years. From the Gentleman Cho'Gath to your Battlecast Cho'gath, or from the Safari Mesh AWP to the Dragon Lore AWP.
For those who play league in particular. Yes there are skins that are $20 but you can tell that they have put a lot of effort into it. SFX, VFX (new voice overs), Design etc. They are extremely high quality skins that I would have no problem paying for. These quality of skins have been increased over time. However in Valorant, an item like the Luxe knife, an item that I would have the opinion that it's nothing special. It's a $20 knife skin with no particular features.
It's still a new game
As I said, Valorant is a new game and if you look at the skins available, there hasn't been a set expectation of quality for the types of skins that the developers and designers will release. We've all seen throughout every game whether it's LoL, Csgo, Siege or whatever types of games with cosmetics, is that the quality of cosmetics improve over time and thus means that they could be increased in price. Is the Vandal bundle that is worth $71 at the this current time going to be the best possible quality of design that Valorant will release forever? Of course not.
Summary
I'm concerned about the future of the store prices. I'm concerned that a newly released game has already pushed out skins that are worth quite a bit of money when there is a high chance that there will be skins that will released 6 months/1 yea2 years down the line that will be exceeding in quality. What then? Will future skin bundles get increased to $100? $125?
Edit: Just a final note, I'm not telling people whether it's worth your money or not, in fact, I'll probably end up buying one of the bundles anyways because 1) I really love the game and 2) I'm a sucker for cosmetics. I'm just generally concerned as to how prices will be marked up when new designs will come into play that could arguably be better in design over time, especially for a game that has no market.

My honest review

So i know a lot of people will throw hate at me and honestly...IDC... i am here to because i love and care for valorant,since 14th day of beta i got in... never skipped a single day,got better at shooting since i never played CSGO or any fps of that kind... i've seen a lot of bug fixes [which i am glad to hear]...
But when i've heard that you are releasing a ranked into "released" game that has some core issues i can't believe this ****...since there are still many bugs that cost you games or costs your enemies games... for xmpl. sometimes when you most need it your BUCKY[shotgun] if you click Right Click it shoots 1 bullet... ok ik it doesn't do that always but it does happen and it is destroying my games and my nerves i throw hate at game that i love... but clicking 3 times in a row to hit opponent that is 4m. in front of me with only 3 bullets of shotgun? 27dmg... he had enough time to "flick" to me and kill me with pistol... call me "bad" or what ever but i am not lying or that bad at game i was not even moving...
i used to yell almost every 3rd game my hits don't get registered,people on reddit "your are bad".... now all my friends can't hit target properly [it is not every game but it is game breaking]... since you know it is fixed " Improvements to hit registration, "... it got worst... if lag is problem don't connect me world wide wtf... just give me closest people in my region can get...same **** started happening to my friends,now i hear them rage... and it is not funny or laughable
also people with more 240hz monitor see you quicker then you see them even tho you are in advantage... i have 75hz...not fair at all... I mean this is not all,there are still some game breaking bugs that need to be fixed...tbh i won't be playing ranked until it gets "fixed" not improved...
Valorant pass is meh... guns are totally same "they are white now" wow so innovative... you could really work on that...TFT had better rewards,most of the games have good drops and skins in battle passes... i don't even want to mention "that game" that has best battle pass ever... rewards are ****,i had to buy scavanger or w/e the skin name is to use radiant points... not a single gun can be recolored... wow... we got cool knife yeyy... it looks like default with neon stripe ...woww... and if i don't play i won't get it... even tho i paid for that... [i am 8th tier right now so i will make no matter what,but just pointing out]
Work on these things,ik i am not the only one...even if i am IDC...since i love this game and i will keep on playing... just don't force something for release if it is not ready... i would just be sad to leave this game since it brought so many happy hours of chatting and killing....

Major tickets: Premium isn't premium?

get tickets trough StarLadder, you're paying 50 Euro more through Mercedes Benz Arena for a free wardrobe, and you're missing out on goodie bags, pins/attendee badges, and priority signing sessions. fak.

tl;dr I'm pretty sure that premium tickets booked through StarLadder (€249) are much better than premium tickets booked through the Mercedes-Benz-Arena directly (€299). Looks like I made one of the worst deals in the history of trade deals.
So I've been stoked about going to the Major for a while now, and I shelled out for the 4-day premium tickets (€299 through Mercedes Benz Arena) because, well, I have a job and I would probably pay the same amount for a medium-to-big music festival anyway. Also I thought food and drinks are included like with the premium package at ESL One Cologne (I was wrong apparently). Fuck you, I don't need to justify spending 300 Euros on a video game tournament, some of you shitheads spend that on a virtual knife skin which used to just be a download away in 1.6.
Anyway, I digress. As I said, I had wanted to go to ESL One Cologne this year, but there, the premium tickets were sold out pretty quickly, so I opted to buy them early for the Major, directly from Mercedes Benz Arena in May.
Now I wanted to check what exactly was included and found that, ah well, I have to pay for food and booze myself. Fair. It's a Major after all.
Also, premium tickets, interestingly, are €249 through StarLadder. Huh. Well, they probably don't have some of the benefits that my rich ass will enjoy, I thought.
Nope.
Turns out I'm the one not getting some of their benefits:
At Mercedes-Benz-Arena, it says "Goodie bags, attendee badge and priority line not included", while this is the description of the StarLadder Ticket: part 1, part 2.
So they both get to sit their fat asses in the premium area, a dedicated non-pleb entrance, and to stand around awkwardly in the premium lounge.
But, for only 50 Euro more, I avoided such hardships as the attendee badge (I'm guessing they mean the pins?), the priority queue for signing sessions, and the goodie bag!
I mean I get that I paid the 50 Euro stupid tax for booking through the venue directly, whatever, but that "premium" from one isn't the same as "premium" from the other for the same exact event is really misleading.
So, to conclude in the words of a German idol, fak.

My opinion on why Valve isnt talking to us.

Recently i got triggered by JW's tweet:
"i dont understand where my bullets go, on my monitor i spray right in to his fucking head?!? BUT HEY! LETS ADD 7 DAYS TRADE BAN INSTEAD!"
and Guardian's:
"Unless they change whole @csgo_dev team, you wont see any good updates :) we have to deal with that and accept it"
.... but also by the reddit anti-valve circlejerk complaining about the communication and effort cs:go gets, compared to Dota and other games like OW and PUBG.
First, i dont think Valve is doing everything right and im not trying to defend them, where they are clearly doing something wrong, but i am against this pure bullshit i read everyday:

Hitreg is the best it ever was. Hitboxes got reworked so they are no boxes anymore, but better fitting "sausages". Jumping/defusing hitboxes + landing animation got fixed, crouching animation is transitioning between standing. Hitreg issues are not existing on decent servers (good frametimes) between players with decent frametimes + no connection errors/flaws like a high ping, choke, loss or jitter.
Thats imo also the reason ppl are complaining about 64tick mm when it makes under good circumstances a minor difference thats not important to 95% of the playerbase, yet ppl are playing on potatoes, downloading shit, using wlan, having a jitter of 20ms, ping 80, 2% loss and are whining on reddit and making "CSGO'd" videos.
Additionally most players dont seem to get the concept if inaccuracy, especially first bullet inaccuracy (ak wont hit every bullet on a head from pit to a site) AND models that are bigger than the hitboxes. Example: IDF (Dust2 CT) have much larger hats than head-hitboxes and a backpacks and pouches. I can understand that you think you aimed at the enemy when you barely see him for a split-second, but you only "hit" his hat or pouch.
-> I absolutely agree that this inaccurate models should be fixed, hower a "better" HITREG and 128TICK are not the solution!
Beside that they should rework the stances. T's are leant forward which is stupid because if you see them from the side and aim on their head and suddenly they turn around, you aim at nothing and miss. Furthermore they their heads are on a slightly different height, depending on the weapon they are holding (knife/rifle/smg). CT's are also leant forwards which makes their head difficult to hit from behind and it gets even worse when they got the high ground. Another problem are the arms, when ct's are sneaking their arms are so high that there is a chance that you only hit the arms (counting as body) and not the head.
Trade ban for 7 days for everyone is imo too the wrong way to deal with those sites, they should just ban every bot they encounter and they will someday hit them so hard that its getting unprofitable and they will vanish. They could also inflict such a trade ban for 7 days for "suspicious" accounts, not everyone with a 70€ knife and 5€ skins. The ppl who work on the steam market are probably not the devs writing netcode....

He seems tilted, if anyone would talk such shit in real sports they would get a fuckin shitstorm. I think its very rude to talk like this over your main source of income. I still understand his message behind the harsh words, but contraring to many people i dont see the need for big updates. Valve doesnt need to show such presence like Jeff Kaplan from Overwatch, because the game doesnt need changes and content updates every month, like overwatch where the players are mostly "casuals". Overwatch is very different, it lives from new heroes, events and balance changes. CS however keeps us playing because its competetive and the principle is very similar to real life sports. Soccer doesnt get a different ruleset every year, or moving walls on field or something. Sure updates like the R8, Augpocalypse, and the recent Negev changes are ridiculously stupid and unnecessary.
The game needs constant improvement, like a better UI, especially the demo system and the server browser, maybe performance tweaks (if its possible, im not a gamedev myself), anticheat (where they did MASSIVE enhancements, compared to public belief, "VAC IS A JOKE" under every youtube video), and "minor" things like the models and stances i mentioned earlier. Maybe a casual replacement with unranked mm, with hidden mmr, maybe a slightly changed ruleset and no punishment for leaving?
Communication to the community is only needed if they push changes, so they can give reasoning why they did it and what they want to achieve with it. But thats unlikely because the community is more toxic and salty than the dead sea. Panorama UI "announcement" by Gaben:
"As far as a roadmap is concerned, our priorities for 2017 are to replace the UI with Panorama, to make CS:GO available in more territories where a lot of Counter-Strike fans don't have easy access to it (like China), and anti-cheat. Of course, we're also planning on continuing to ship bug fixes and new features throughout the year, as in the past."
They set their goals, which they couldnt achieve - for whatever reason. im not reading the patchnotes on this subreddit anymore, because 50% of comments are: "no worry pan0r4ma UI still coming in 2017, OM3GALUL" He stated they were priorizing it, not said its gonna release at 13 dec 17. Thats why they are not communicating, the community takes everything as promise that cant be broken and are whining later and insult the devs.
Directly asking the community in a forum is also unnecessary, 99% would be the default "suggestion" over hitreg, 128tick mm, unranked mm and VAC is a joke.
The people who have something real to contribute do this already here and according to the past valve is looking into these things pretty fast. example: Hitbox desync while defusing, jumping hitboxes/landing animation...... And im sure they also keep an eye on slothsquadrons weapon balance mod....
Sorry for the wall of text and my crappy english. Im just upset about the behaviour here and can now understand why valve shouldnt listen to pro's when they are talking bs.

Which items can be invested in?

Introductionary Note: Discontinued consumables (cases, stickers and basically all containers) are better items for long term investment than non-consumables, since consumables get deleted from the market when used, thus reducing their quantity over time, unlike skins which are only deleted if a user gets banned or if the skins are used in trade-up contracts. Specific skins/knives/gloves could be profitable to invest and to hold long term, if you know exactly what you are doing. But generally skins are better suited for frequent trading and not long term investing, or if you want skins to play with and more or less hold their value with some potential to go up in price. As an example, Here is a video from TDM HeyJesus from last year explaining what I mean. How many items can I hold in my inventory?
Officially, 1000. You can list excess items on the steam market (for high unrealistic prices) and basically use the steam market as extra space. Note that the price of your listed items on market + your steam wallet cannot exceed $2000 at any given time. You can increase the number of items in your inventory and the amount of steam wallet money through some tricks. It is however recommanded that instead you simply make extra accounts and prepare them for usage as extra space and as storage accounts, if you need more space.

Approx. 13%-15% total for most.

What are some real-money marketplaces for CSGO items?
Use all external sites at your own risk

I've personally used skinbaron and skinbay and had no problems so far. There are others out there like cs deals. Update (Oct 2019): I used Bitskins before they changed ownership in Oct. 2019. I am waiting to see who the new owners are (still unknown) and how the site develops, before using them again.
Also note that the most popular one, OPSkins was BANNED by Valve in 2018. Do not use OPSkins if you want to cash out from or cash in to Steam anymore. Their so called VGO Skins aren't actual CSGO skins, even though they look similar. Update (Oct. 2019): OPSkins apparently made a comeback with a P2P system without using Bots. Proceed with caution, because Valve basically sent them a cease and desist letter in the past letting them know that they aren't allowed to be associated with CSGO and use any intellectual property of Valve on their websites at all anymore.

What is the most efficient way to cash out?
Sell the items directly at Bitskins, Skinbaron or another trustworthy site. Depending on the items, this can take a while. As an alternative you can exchange your investments into liquid items (popular skins for frequently used weapons, certain knives, case keys, sticker keys, nametags etc. - spend some time to determine which item gives you the best rate) and sell those liquid items on external cashout sites. The latter method will increase the speed at which you get money but will lose you a larger percentage. Keep in mind that BitSkins/Skinbaron take a percentage (5% to 15%), Paypal takes a percentage (~2%), and that the item values on external sites (real money value) are always lower than in the Steam Community Market. Also, every transaction on the Steam Community Market takes away 15% already. Occasionally the items on external sites are so cheap compared to SCM that it becomes worth it to sell them on SCM instead, buy keys from the in-game store, and then sell those keys on external sites again. When selling on SCM it almost always is correct to sell with an order that's higher than the highest buy order and higher than the lowest sell order if the lowest sell order is lower than recent trends display.

What is the most efficient way to buy in?
Buy items (not necessarily CSGO only) from trustworthy external cashout sites or from highly reputable sellers with high cash rep if they offer a better deal (you can find some on /GlobalOffensiveTrade) and sell the items on the Steam Community Market. Spend some time to determine which item gives you the best discount compared to Steam Market Price. Be aware that some items such as souvenir skins, certain Stattrak knives, etc. might have a very high discount, but are very very hard to resell back on steam market, avoid these items and stick to popular items. There is a reason why they have such a high discount. Also be aware that some items might be manipulated on steam market, thus showing a very high discount on 3rd party sites when compared, avoid these items and check their market history to be sure. http://csgo.steamanalyst.com/hotdeals is one of the tools that can help you with good deals, or the deals section at BitSkins. The general rule is also the cheaper the items, the higher the possible discount. For instance you could buy very cheap stickers for sometimes 50% off, and resell on steam market. But the downside is that it takes a lot of time and effort than a single expensive item, but gives you more steam wallet money at the end. Make sure that after steam tax, you always get more money than if you deposit the money directly to Steam, otherwise this whole process becomes completely pointless.

Why did item X increase/decrease in price?
Possible reasons: CS:GO updates/balance changes/game changes/market changes (e.g., Tradeup Contract), new cases/operations (both short-term, due to opening frenzies, and long-term, due to increased supplies of skins), a famous streameyoutuber hypes an item, someone tries to manipulate the market, a AAA game is released, a tournament is taking place (CS:GO, DOta 2 etc.), a Steam-sale like Summer sale is going on, a market-bug is ongoing, the ingame drop rate was increased/decreased, legal issues about things related to the CSGO market (e.g., betting/gambling), etc.

If I create a new Steam account, how do I transfer items to that account? How long does this take?
Create a new account, log in (via the thick client), set up your profile, enable Steam Guard, wait 15 days, and transfer the items to the account from your main (double check that it is your account). If you intend to use the thin client (e.g., via Chrome), make sure that you log in from there as well because Steam will impose a 7 day trade restriction on your account when you attempt to create a new transaction from a new device (a device meaning a new browser). Also, if you do not have mobile authentication enabled on the alt account, there will be a 3 day delay for trades. You can use the same phone number & email address for many Steam accounts. Also, Gmail forwards emails addressed to your account even if dots (.) are added in between the username characters of your email address.

After buying a CSGO item from the Steam Community Market, how long do I have to wait until I can sell/trade it?
They are sellable immediately on the Market. You need to wait 7 days until you can trade them to another account. Note that items from some other games, have the 7 days cool down both for trading AND steam market (like Rust).

How do buy orders work?
When you place a buy order, the market first looks for all the cheapest items that can fulfill your order. Then the oldest listing (i.e. the seller who has waited the longest) is selected and purchased. If the items are listed in multiple currencies, the amounts are first converted into your currency before being selected (i.e. a 0.03 RUB listing has no priority over a 0.03 USD listing). Item X hyped and is going to moon. Should I Buy?
Usually parabolic moves are followed by a crash (not always but most of the time). It is almost never a good idea to buy when something is mooning because of a video, some news, manipulation, mass hysteria and hype or whatever else. Buy the rumour, sell the news.

Item X is crashing hard. The Market is crashing. I am shaking and panicking. Should I Sell?
Stay calm, take a deep breath and find out what is really going on and what you really think about it. As an example: there was a huge panic when gambling sites were being banned. Many people panicked and sold their items for ridiculously low prices. People were telling eachother that the skin market will crash and never recover if there is no gambling and the world is going to end. And here we are in 2019, and almost everything (including skins) is at its all time high. However, sometimes you just need to sell fast. Let's say you have a skin from a collection which was inactive for a long time, making the prices of the skins go very high, and then suddenly the collection became active again for whatever reason. Or Gaben officially tells us that he is going to do something crazy with the market which will inevitably crash everything. In that case yes, sell fast (just an example)

[Discussion] My research of best blue patterns of Kara P4 ST

So, iam selling My Kara p4 ST and i did a PC TOPIC and i received a PC of a guy who said i could ask for 50 Arcs. At first i was surprise of the value, but than i started to add all the good things about my Kara and the rarity of it and even if thats expensive that could be my ceiling, because its a collectors Skin.
In my last post someone said that its not a collectors piece, and that my corner its not good and the knife its not that rare (and a lot of people said 50 it is too much). I remembered the time i had the 3rd lowest skin in the world and people (who know nothing about low float) kept saying to take the less of 40 keys c/o for it when the b/o was 150 keys. So i decided to make the research about the best patterns P4 ST to have and idea of how rare and or good the knife really it is.
First the pattern, as many of you may know P4 itsnt JUST like fade and thats why we cant use "maxblue" here because the amount and position of blue switch by patterns. But there is some explanation that shows what are the best patterns based on the correlation of dopplers and fade patterns. That is kinda confusing, but in this topic you can find all the explanation and the top patterns of P4.
Considering that Data we have all this patterns as the best: 521, 807, 326, 911, 205, 583, 41, 601, 897, 87, 527, 651, 742, 892, 468, 348, 341, 910, 636, 403, 520, 961, 93, 575, 763 (in no particular order).

So as of a top Pattern mine 892 it is there. Now i want to know how good the float and the corner of my Kara it is compared to the others and how rare it is to have the top patterns in ST.
So if i didnt fuck this up (because it took a lot of time, if someone find any mistake please let me know to fix it) here is the data i COULD gather (some knives JUST WONT load and i cant get a proper screen, but i will give all the links so you can check/try youself):

Of all the 12 ST top patterns knife mine it is the lowest (.011). Of all the knifes i could see (3 i couldnt, but their float its not great) i could argue mine has the best corner, there is maybe one other pattern that ingame you could say looks better.
So my skin has a: top pattern, best float among these patterns, arguably top 1-2 Corners.

Well, maybe a lot of pleople still dont think that my price its right, but you cant say it is not a collectors skin imo.

[Q] best way to turn skins into keys?

Hey guys,
I haven't played csgo in quite some time now and I am looking to turn the rest of my skins into keys. I sold my knife during the steam sales to get some games and figure I'm going to sell the rest for keys and do a case opening and test my luck (get all blues). I'm just wondering if the best way to do this is to sell them all on scm and buy keys in game or trade on cs money?
Any advice appreciated thanks guys.
